Dusyk and Barlow has been part of the Regina community for nearly 90 years. For us, that’s not just a number… it’s a responsibility.
We believe local businesses have an obligation to show up for the people and organizations that make this city worth living in, and we take that seriously every single year. See below for the many community initiatives we are grateful to be involved with and committed to!
4 Weeks of Christmas Cheer
Every year, our team runs our annual 4 Weeks of Christmas Cheer campaign, selecting four local causes to support with donations of time, funds, and collected goods throughout the holiday season.
Both of our Regina locations set up collection bins for drop-off donations, and we also accept cash and cheque donations directed to any of the participating organizations. It’s one of our favourite times of year, and we’re grateful to the clients and community members who make it meaningful.

Annual Customer Appreciation BBQ and SGI Canada Child Restraint Clinic
Every September, we host our Annual Customer Appreciation BBQ alongside an SGI Canada Child Restraint Clinic, and we use the occasion to give back in a way that goes beyond burgers and handshakes.
For every dollar raised at the event, Dusyk and Barlow match it 100% and donate the total to a local charity chosen for that year. Past recipients include:
- 2025 Phoenix Residential: $2,122 raised
- 2024 Prostate Cancer awareness: $2,074 raised
- 2023 Thomas’ Circle of Care: $1,879 raised
- 2022 Mobile Crisis: $1,420 raised
It’s a chance to say thank you to our clients, keep kids safer in their car seats, and do something meaningful for Regina at the same time. We hope to see you there.

Proud Sponsors of the Ross & Russ Memorial Bonspiel
Dusyk & Barlow Insurance Brokers is proud to be part of the legacy of the Ross & Russ Barlow Memorial Curling Bonspiel, an event with roots stretching back to 1979 as a brokers’ tournament run by the Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan. Named in honour of Ross Barlow, an avid curler and co owner of Barlow & Lang Insurance Brokers, and later his brother Russ, the bonspiel has grown into a beloved community tradition. When the event faced low turnout in the mid 1990s, Dusyk & Barlow (founded by Russ’s sons Bill and Burns Barlow alongside longtime colleague Brian Dusyk) stepped in to keep it alive, partnering with the Blue Goose to turn it into a charitable fundraiser. Since taking on this role, the bonspiel has raised thousands of dollars for organizations like the Sask. Abilities Council, all while bringing together friends and colleagues from across the insurance industry for a day of curling and camaraderie. Now marking its 31st year, the event continues to be coordinated by Russ’s grandsons, Rob and Stephen, carrying forward a tradition built on community, connection, and giving back.

Beyond our signature events, you’ll find Dusyk and Barlow involved across the community throughout the year, including golf tournaments, car shows, local sports teams and events, and the Royal Canadian Legion in Regina.
